I think that there should be a more inviting interior! It seems like it is just so hard with all the wait and limited parking! Tacos are delicious and service is good!

Best place to get your tacos! Nothing beats tacos el gordo! So glad they have another location close by, atleast this place is not that crowded anymore. Lines are still long but i mean not as bad as it used to. Parking is still a struggle but who cares if you are getting the best tacos in town.

I'm not from the area but enjoy tacos (who doesn't). Still, I think it's safe to safe these tacos are fantastic. The adobada tacos and fries where my favorite and very affordable (at the time the tacos were $2.60 each and the small fry was around $3.75?[memory is failing me here]). Ordering is different from your standard restaurant, you line up in certain areas to order a specific group of items.

Parking and service were a bit slow but trust me it is MORE than worth it. We constantly eat here. The food is delicious and made to order that's why it takes a but while. The seasoning of the food, ambiance, and the staff were 10/10!

Delicious tacos at a decent price. You want variety? This is the place to come and sample traditional Mexcian tacos and drinks. Well worth the wait.

These tacos are seriously the best I've ever had. I went here on a friend's recommendation and planned on getting 4-5 tacos, but ended up eating 8 just by myself. You can't go here and not get the Adobada (spicy pork) tacos. They cut the meat off right in front of you and the sauce and toppings are just incredible.

This is hands down one of the best Taco places in San Diego. Everytime I asked anyone where should i go to get good tacos they mentioned this spot. It did not disappoint! More options than other places that I tried while in San Diego also.

Love the food.. but an absolute hassle to order and get your food. It's just tacos guys! There has got to be a better system that you can implement. Great food, but horrible service. Get it together!

Omg. We returned to this unique place just shy of two years after our first experience. Tacos elsewhere are mediocre in comparison and we're totally jaded now. Once you go Tacos El Gordo, there's no going back. I also did the revamped store. The whole restaurant looks and feels brighter and more inviting. Parking is still a pain, but when isn't parking awful in this area... we <3 T.E.G.

I loved Tacos El Gordo, we ordered several items on the menu and stuffed ourselves. Great tasting food. I love how the tortillas are made right in front of you too.

Very good tacos and they do their best to help you and make sure you have a good experience. They offer a wide variety of tacos (asada, pastor, tripa, cabeza, lengua, buche, etc.), mulitas and fries with toppings.Don't forget to ask for cebollitas asadas (grilled onions).The fountain drinks include horchata, tamarindo and other Mexican aguas frescas, on top of the regular sodas.Tips:- Parking might be limited.- Be ready for a long time depending on the time you get there. - They have 3 different lines for different offerings. The longest line is for pastor.- Order first and pay later.

The food is amazing. Very good flavors and very fresh. There’s separate lines for pork and steak and fries - so make sure you are standing on the right line. There can be a bit of a wait but it’s absolutely worth it. Very juicy meat and overall a great experience. Open very late. Parking can be a bit tight but there’s an attendant helping you out. There are other locations of the same restaurant nearby too.
